In April 2016, I bought an upgrade on the flight Copenhagen to Tokyo for 600€ and I was slightly disappointed. Sure, the seats were spacious and comfortable but no lie flat seats due to a unexpected change of airplane 😞
When I boarded the plane through the forward gate, the purser guided me in the direction of my seat. The expected seating arrangement was 1-2-1 configuration, but sue to the airplane change, it was the “old” business class with a 2-2-2 configuration and angled seats (which have a slight tilt in full recline, tend to slide the sleeping occupant toward the footrest).
The airline has partnered with iconinc Scandinavian bed and bedding brand Hästens ♥️ The bedding (blankets, pillows) comes from Hästens. I wish I could afford a Hästens bed at home 😉
My window seat gave me a lot of privacy and it felt as if I was in my own cocoon. The seat arrangement buttons were located at a very accessible place which was accompanied with a reading light. They were simple and easy to follow due to its aesthetic display of clean lines and neutral colors. The USB port, headphone jack and a power outlet was located right next to the seat which made it very accessible and easy to use. The entertainment controller was right next to it, accompanied by the reading light button and the flight attendant’s bell. The best part was the hook that they provided for hanging the headphones. The amenity kit provided by the airlines was pretty simple and filled with all the basic stuff.
The menu looked like a lot of thought had been put into it. The selection of food was great as well as the wine choices. The taste was delicious and the presentation of the food was outclass. Everything was pretty great.
