You and I all know about the popular destinations for skiing in the world; Europe, Canada and USA. But do you know there are majority of other destinations in the world which you might haven’t even thought about to try out for skiing like Iceland or High Tatra mountains in Sovak Republic. Yes, of course it’s a big world and there are just so many new places to explore with your ski rather than just heading off to the usual destinations everyone visits.
I have been to various destinations in Austria, living in Vienna for 3 years – close to Semmering, the ski resort on the Hirschenkogel mountain (Zauberberg).
In January 2016 I was at Wilder Kaiser/ Brixen, in 2011 I was in Kaprun/ Zell am See and in 2010 I was in Flachau and Zauchensee where I was also learning to ski in 1996.
Go nowhere else when you want to choose a ski destination in Europe; Austria is your place to be! The Austrian Alps are a wonderful option if you want to try out various types of skiing adventures. The best part is the fact that the Alps have a host of different resorts that cater to both novice and experienced skiers and all others in between. The area is not only beautifully located but equipped fantastically when it comes to skiing and offering adventurous rides to the enthusiastic skiers.
Austria’s glaciated terrain is one of the most ideal for skiing. The region is so connected and ideal for skiing that if you are a true ski enthusiast and you enjoy long hours of the sport, it is quite possible for you to start at one valley in the morning and by the time you end your day, you would be in a new valley entirely.
